Write To Survive. David P Perlmutter
Write To Survive: A DEADLINE BECOMES A LIFELINE
In book one, "Write to Kill" follows the misadventures of a debt ridden, budding author, who gets involved with London underground boss, Mad Dog Maddox. The author commits a heinous crime for money and then starts to write a book based on his experience.
Now into the amazing follow up. Book two in the series, "Write to Survive" finds the aspiring author, and his girlfriend Lisa, struggling to cope with the fallout from his actions. As Mad Dog Maddox lives up to his name, the couple must work as a team to survive his death threats.
I had already read "Wrong Place, Wrong Time" by David P Perlmutter, which is the story based on true events in 1991 when David, after leaving London, because of an unfortunate police incident, visited Marbella and ended up wrongly arrested for arson and manslaughter.
When David released his first crime fiction book "Write to Kill", I figured that after reading the fantastic "Wrong place, Wrong time", that David would clearly nail the crime fiction genre... And my word I was right!
The idea behind "Write to Kill", following a debt ridden, budding author, who gets involved with London underground boss, Mad Dog Maddox. The author commits a heinous crime for money and then starts to write a book based on his experience. Well, this had me gripped from the outset, it's genius and makes you think that maybe the book you're reading IS the work of a murdering author!! (it isn't, of course.. well, that what David says!)
The book was clever, and left a hunger in place for a follow up, and "Write to Survive" was the eagerly awaited result.. it does not dissapoint!.
Now, I'm not the fastest of readers, and I tend to struggle with a lack of attention when reading... I am easily distracted with day to day living, read a bit, work on website, read a bit more, go and work in the shed, read a bit... etc. However, when you start David's books, you get frustrated by interuptions as you NEED to know what happens next! I have read these books in record time as David's writing puts you completely in the picture, the imagination does the rest. Descriptive, original, addictive, what more can I say? I'm Hooked!
I'm now waiting for the third in the series... because it's absolutely guaranteed to be a page turner that will keep me rivetted for another fantastic read. Well done David, keep up the great work! Jim (Londoncrime.co.uk)
A Word from the Author: David P Perlmutter
DAVID P PERLMUTTER, that's me, and welcome.
I have a led a very colourful life, with some episodes so noteworthy that so far they have produced three thrilling true stories, with more to follow.
Away from writing and along with my girlfriend, who is also my editor, I am a volunteer Cancer Campaigns Ambassador for Cancer Research UK, and have done many charity book signing events, to raise money for a cause that is very close to my heart.
I have four children and a grandson and I'm very close to my large family who feature in each of my books.
I started to write my first book when I lived in Portugal in 2013. I now live in London. The book, WRONG PLACE WRONG TIME, has been a #1 BESTSELLER on Amazon around the world, with many hundreds of 4 and 5* reviews. The story is based on true events that happened to me when I visited Marbella in 1991 and ended up wrongly arrested for arson and manslaughter. I'm very excited to say that the book is currently being turned into a movie, which is every author's dream and something I could never have imagined when I began writing.
Another of my true stories is called FIVE WEEKS, about a trip I made to Pennsylvania, America for five weeks of training for a new job. I won't give too much away, apart from saying that I was nearly left for dead in a Pennsylvania wood, and that's after having a gun in my back in London.
Also a true story, follows my escapades as a 21 year old, seeking fame and fortune in America. Entitled 24 HOURS IN NEW YORK, the clue is in the name as to the duration of my stay. My new book, yes, another true story called 13 is due for release on Amazon on the 5th December 2018.
Away from writing true stories, I also write self-help books for indie authors. There are eight books in the MY WAY series, the majority being guides to self-publishing and book marketing, the others featuring authors from around the world in various different genres.
